Mirror Sheet Stock
Naugatuck Glass is a world leader in the production of thin mirror sheet stock. Our state-of-the-art silvering conveyor was specially designed to accept glass from .038" to .250" thick. The paint backing on our mirrors is 100% lead-free, and is available in a choice of 3 colors, gray, butterscotch or white. Naugatuck Glass leads the industry in the use of lead-free mirror-back coatings. Our mirror products comply with the CONEG Source Reduction Legislation for packaging materials and all U.S.E.P.A. heavy metal and hazardous waste regulations.
Computer control and monitoring of process parameters, coupled with constant quality control checks and daily salt spray sample testing, ensure a 100% quality product for your application. Special emphasis on the design and care of our washing process at the end of the silvering conveyor means your order arrives clean - no watermarks, paint, fingerprints, or other debris.
Regular shipments to locations in Asia, Europe, South America, Australia and throughout North America demand attention to packaging integrity. Our experienced production staff is well trained in packaging product for the most demanding journeys in a variety of configurations to suit your production needs. Large raw glass inventories and flexible production scheduling enables Naugatuck Glass to deliver orders with short lead times.
Solar Power Generation - Naugatuck Glass manufactures commercial second surface mirrors for use in solar generation applications. Using low iron glass as the substrate material and copper free mirroring process and two coats of 100% lead free or low lead paints. These mirrors will allow reflectance that exceeds 95%. We will provide custom sizes and configurations, in thickness as low as .95mm, per customer requirements.
