Metalized Components
Metalized components begin with in-house precision fabrication, and if required, thin film coating of glass substrates as small as .250" square and as thin as .028". Parts can be rectangular, round or odd-shaped.
In the metalizing process, parts are first coated with platinum and the fired to bond the platinum to the glass.Solder is then applied to the platinum surface to prepare it for installation into your instrument can.
The glass-platinum-solder bond ensures a hermetic seal capable of withstanding harsh environmental conditions.
Available thin film coatings include magnesium fluoride, high efficiency anti-reflective (HEA), and indium tin oxide conductive (ITO).
Complete in-house control of the manufacturing process and strict adherence to edge, surface, and process quality throughout ensures timely delivery of quality products to your assembly operation.
