Bent Glass Components
Naugatuck Glass offers convex and bent glass components as an alternative to the flat glass gauge cover. These convex glasses provide a "classic" look to the instruments that they cover, and work especially well in outdoor applications where glare and water staining are of concern.
We fabricate custom sizes in round or rectangular shapes from clear or etched (antiglare) glass. Thin film optical coatings can also be applied to these products if further glare reduction or anti-fogging is required. See our available edge finishes.
An automatic process for large volume production runs, utilizing custom tooling in a state-of-the-art bending furnace, can produce up to 50,000 glasses per week.
A manual process for small production quantities, non-repeat orders, and prototype runs is employed with minimal tooling investment and shorter lead times. Naugatuck Glass is a ISO 9001:2000 company.
